Quick start
| 1. | Install Fingertips on your computer. |
| 2. | Press the Fingertips hot key (Ctrl+` by default) to call up this window:![]() |
| 3. | Type a Fingertips command and press Enter. That's it. |
Example: Add a Next Action to your Tasklist

As soon as you press the Enter key on your keyboard, Fingertips will add a task to your Outlook task list with the Subject 'Call Mary'. The Fingertips window will then close, but it will then open the Outlook Task Window, so that you can edit your task ever further.
If you do not want the Outlook Task Window to be opened, just add a semi-colon to the command. This way, your task will be added in Outlook, with minimal interruption:

Example: Surf to a Favorite Web site
| 1. | In Internet Explorer, surf to a website. |
| 2. | Press Ctrl + D to store that location in your Favorites. |
| 3. | Use just one short word or acronym (without spaces) as the name of the Favorite. |
The next time you start your computer, or when you press Ctrl+R in the Fingertips command window, Fingertips will reload the list of Favorites and will make your new favorite accessible in the command window.
Let's say that you added www.cnn.com to your Favorites in Internet Explorer with "cnn" as the name of the Favorite.
Now you can press Ctrl+` to open the command window of Fingertips.
You then just type "cnn" and press Enter.
Fingertips will launch Internet Explorer and take you to the CNN website immediately.
No slow mouse-clicks needed!
